Like anyone in this world people in Iran do love music. There are many professional and amateur musicians who work in Iran; moreover, there are groups of individual who form the underground world of music in Iran.

Getting permit to publish your music or give a concert in iran is so difficult, since the government should approve your lyrics and type of music, which does not happen most of the times.
One of the luckiest underground music bands who could finally have their first live performance in Iran is called TARANTIST. They play heavy metal and rock. So far, they gave some concerts in Iran and Europe. however, they have not been able to get the permit from government for publishing their first album inside Iran, but by the miracle of internet, their work has been published worldwide! Their success even caused the BBC world service to have an interview with them: + + +
But in personal, I don't like their music and don't prefer them.
And the last but not the least is that they are my classmates in university!
